Prema
Prema began practicing yoga when she was sixteen after she met her spiritual teacher, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda. At seventeen she moved to Ganespuri, India where she lived in an Ashram for about three years. This is when Prema fell in love with the practice of meditation, chanting and hatha yoga. Since then, she has had careers in design & massage and is now mother to five beautiful children (two sets of twins!).
Prema considers yoga an oasis to refresh and rejuvenate. She has been studying Anusara yoga for the past two years and always considers herself a student on the path of yoga.
“I'm honored to teach and share my experiences with this beautiful path with others. My favorite part of my yoga practice is the equanimity that comes during practice and then sitting and enjoying the inner stillness in meditation.”
Prema’s classes are simultaneously challenging and calming, ending the mixed-level asana class with a 15 minute meditation, where we cultivate the inner flame of yoga.
Prema teaches Mixed Level Yoga at 9:30am.
